(Senior Regional competition)
Senior kapa haka practitioners from within Te Whanganui-ā-Tara are preparing to compete in the regional competition that will determine our rohe representing teams to Te Matatini 2025 being hosted by Taranaki. Displaying kapa haka excellence, this event is scheduled to take place at the Micheal Fowler Centre on Saturday 23rd March 2024. Online Ticket sales only (Updates to come will include teams performing, itinerary for the day and information on purchasing tickets).

Introducing this inaugural event to remember and celebrate the lives of those who served and those who lost their lives at war.

IWI HAKA
A non-competitive event celebrating the diverse variations of haka styles and sounds produced by the different iwi living in Te Whanganui a Tara. There is no age limit or limit to the amount of performers however, performances are limited to 20minutes maximum and 15 minutes minimum. MAHURU FEST ‘24’
A non-competitive event, we invite you to come along and engage in the excitement, witness the passion, and embrace the essence of what kapa haka does for our young people. This event will showcase a diverse range of kapa haka performance ranging from primary through to secondary schools throughout the rohe.
